Run out of Fabric Softener or find it to be a bit expensive at times....no worries. Try using Vinegar instead. I know that sounds crazy but it's not.
Vinegar not only makes clothes softer, but it also acts as a clarifying agent, thus freshing and breaking down grime. And no, your clothes will not smell like Vinegar, unless you use one whole bottle to a load...ha-ha!
Try a quarter of a cup with each load. I have tried it and I love!
